Hardcore Craft Beer will be hosting another bottle share at Porter's Pub on Thursday, November 19th starting at 6:30 PM.
This is an open event and everyone and anything is welcome. Bring a bottle, or couple of bottles, to open and share, mingle with other beer patrons, and have a good time. Grab something from your beer cellar or something interesting from the store that you've wanted to try.
CRAFT BEER IS NOT EXCLUSIVE
We understand that events like this can seem intimidating to the newcomer, but honestly it is the exact opposite of the reality. Whether you know a little, a lot, or nothing at all about craft beer, everyone is encouraged to come out and warmly welcomed by all who attend. It really is an example of the more, the merrier and newcomers always leave saying the same thing: "Everyone was so nice and I actually learned a lot."
There is no cost or cover to attend the event, but we ask as a courtesy to our host venue that you order an appetizer, partake in one of the specials, other food or a beer from the bar. Just a way to say thank you for the use of the space.
A few things to keep in mind:
• Bring a bottle (or COUPLE).
• Do not worry about what bottles to bring and do not be intimidated by other "big" bottles that people might come with. Bring what you enjoy or what YOU feel is special.
• Share and Enjoy.
• Any bottle on the table is fair game.
• Don't over pour yourself a beer. Just take a few ounces, leave some for others. Don't Sweem the beer.
• Relax, have a good time, and be responsible.
We will see you there!
We've been quite fond of a fine cigar with our beer and we want to invite you to join us for an evening on the patio at Porter's Pub on Wednesday, June 24th at 7 PM.
Enjoy some small bites and beers beforehand as we get ready to open some bottles of 2014 Matt's Burning Rosids Imperial Cherrywood-Smoked Saison. This beer has an aroma of Belgian yeast, clove, banana, and hints of smokiness from the Cherrywood malt. The taste has fruit and spice, woodiness, and a touch of alcohol. Overall this beer is full bodied and ends dry with light bitterness.
This is a very unique beer that holds up perfectly for the warmer weather and adds a little extra something to a fine smoke.
Cost for the evening :: $30
Seating is very LIMITED and reservations are highly recommended.
Please call 847.214.5877 to secure your spot.

During the month of February, take on The Blacklist at Porter's Pub at Bowes Creek. 8 Different dark beers to enjoy best when it's cold. Get reacquainted with some of the best dark beers available, especially for these colder months.
The Blacklist is as follows:
[No.1] 4 Hands Chocolate Milk Stout
Pours black with aromas of dark chocolate, chocolate malt, and more chocolate. With a firm tan head and rich velvety mouthfeel, it is a perfect complement to the change of seasons.
[No.2] Firestone Walker Wookey Jack
Offers up true hop aroma to rival most IPAs with pungent citrus and herbal hop nuances, a hint of peppery rye, and earthiness in the nose. Big roast malts and balanced hop bitterness offer a full and complex texture with a refined battered finish.
[No.3] Stone Sublimely Self Righteous
Smells and drinks like a double IPA, but has a chocolatey, roasty character that sneaks in at the back end. Tropical fruit and pine that is balanced by the roasted malt that sits in a tamed position in comparison to the hops.
[No.4] Boulder Shake Chocolate Porter
Dark black in color with rich, sweet aromatics and flavors of dark chocolate, coffee and caramel.
[No.5] Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro
Dark and delicious. The aroma is of brown sugar and vanilla cream, with hints of roasted coffee. Hop and roast bitterness sit in the finish while the rest is filled with milk chocolate goodness. Actually bottled with nitrogen instead of CO2, this beer is super creamy.
[No.6] Revolution Brewing Eugene Porter
Robust porter full of warmth and chocolate malt. The specialty grains provide a complex structure of toasted grain and caramel flavors.
[No.7] Scorched Earth Rugged Coalminer
Rich, chocolatey, robust porter. The smooth caramel body softly balances the chocolate coffee.
[No.8] Founders Breakfast Stout
Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and imported chocolates, and two types of coffee, this stout has an intense fresh-roasted java nose topped with a frothy, cinnamon-colored head that goes on forever.
Ask the server or bartender for a punch card. Take down all 8 and redeem the finished card for a Free Dinner Entree.
Along with sipping on some delectable suds, you can check out some daily specials. Tuesday's are half priced beers, Wednesdays feature $5 burgers, and Thursdays are 25¢ wings, a personal favorite.
Promotion runs through February 28th.
